• Two Lewmar T1 opening ports in coachroof coaming and in cockpit

• The cockpit has been laid out for optimum handling and easier sailing, and comprises:
• Steering console with mainsheet turning block.
• GRP helmsman?s footrests on cockpit sole.
• Two teak-slatted helmsman?s seats port and starboard.
• Two teak-slatted cockpit benches.
• 1 flush hatch in cockpit sole giving access to liferaft stowage locker.
• Two side lockers in cockpit benches (starboard and port).
• Gas locker to starboard.
• Cockpit is self-draining.

Electrical panel:

• 12 V electrical panel with brushed stainless steel front, voltmeter and breakers.
• Cigarette lighter socket.

Supply:

• 1 x 70 Amp ? 12 V engine battery.

• Battery switch situated in starboard aft cabin.

• Laminated worktop with twin-function moulded wood fiddle ? to retain objects and as a handrail.

• 70 L icebox with stowage baskets (injected polyurethane foam insulation). Refrigerating unit as an option.
• Gimballed 2-burner gas hob and oven with stainless steel safety rail which also serves as a handrail.
• Lockers along the hull for stowage of utensils, table settings and food.
• Lewmar T4 opening port in coachroof coaming over hob.

• YANMAR (21 HP).
• The saildrive diesel engine is mounted in a ventilated, soundproofed compartment on a bed built into the hull structure. It has been chosen according to B?n?teau specifications (reliability, low vibration, reduced harmful emissions and compactness).
• Engine compartment insulated and soundproofed with honeycomb foam.
• The engine control panel with rev. counter and alarms is built into the starboard aft side of the cockpit bench. The panel is protected with plexiglass.
• The engine control lever fitted with a foldaway handle is fixed to the starboard coaming.
• The rotomoulded fuel tank (75 L capacity) is situated under the starboard aft berth. A gauge is fitted under the engine panel.
• Saltwater and diesel filters and sediment reservoir.
• Twin-bladed folding propeller for minimum drag under sail.

• The hull and its structure (floors) are infused in one operation (Infujection) for a better strength / weight ratio, overall reduction in weight and optimum weight control.
• The bilges are constructed in single skin fibreglass/ synthetic resin, the skin in glass fibre / balsa / synthetic resin sandwich.
• Strengthened pressure points (keel, rudder, chain plates, deck line) reinforce the structure.
• The gelcoat is white with anthracite First livery (2 bands of grey above the waterline and a band of grey below the hull / deck line).

• The deck is constructed by injection (glass fibre, balsa, synthetic resin sandwich) for better strength/weight ratio, a better finish and optimal insulation.
• All areas of work and movement on deck are treated with a ?Picot? non-slip finish.
• Reinforced areas are constructed at points under the deck fittings (winches, tracks, chain plates, cleats).

• The keel (deep draught) comprises a cast iron fin keel and lead bulb hardened with antimony to lower the centre of gravity.
• The deep keel is fitted with a torpedo shaped bulb.
• To increase their life the keels are given an anti-corrosion treatment and improved finish in the factory before assemble, using epoxy based coatings and paint.
• The keel is fitted to the hull with high-resistance bonding as well as a system of screws and stainless steel backing plate.

• Designed in accordance with European RCD
• requirements and CE Certification, these regulations ensure that the First 34.7 incorporates important guarantees such as:
