Mechanical Equipment

The engine is a 27 hp Westerbeke diesel with 55-amp alternator and heat exchanger for hot water. The engine drives a liftable, steerable outdrive leg from Sillette marine with a large efficient propeller, and can motor in 20 inches of water. A seacock with fresh water flush makes winterizing much easier. The engine compartment is lined with Soundown lead and foam and the engine mounts have been selected for minimum vibration. There are two 18 gal diesel tanks with fuel shut off and two filters. The instrument panel has a tachometer, hour meter, and oil pressure and water temperature gauges. The Westerbeke diesel is fresh water cooled with a self-priming fuel system.

Sillette Sonic Drive leg was serviced and refurbished in 2023. It retracts from water when sailing or at anchor, drops down while under power. Outdrive leg steers with rudder providing remarkable manuverability.

  • Engine 1000 hour service in 2021
  • Teleflex cable wheel steering
  • Engine alarm
  • Propane solenoid
  • Manual head with overboard and holding tank discharge
