VESSEL PARTICULARS:

ACCOMMODATIONS:

The classic layout of the Ocean Alexander 38 has proven to be a practical and attractive configuration for both living aboard and long-distance cruising, sleeping up to six people in two cabins, plus the convertible dinette.

MAIN SALON:

Flooded with natural light and with excellent sight lines to the exterior, the main salon features classic parquet hardwood floors, warm honey tone teak panelling and a generous L-shaped dinette to starboard that can comfortably seat six for dinner and converts to a comfortable double berth.

At the forward end of the main salon to starboard, the lower helm station offers the helmsperson excellent command of the vessel, while sliding doors starboard side forward and port side aft, provide excellent access to the weather decks.

GALLEY:

Stepping forward from the main salon, and down two steps, the fully equipped galley to port provides a generous arrangement for the chef to prepare meals and includes:

  • 3 burner Galley Maid Empress range with oven and broiler
  • NovaKool front loading refrigerator
  • stainless steel double sink with hot and cold pressure water
  • Generous counter space for meal preparation

FORWARD HEAD:

Opposite the galley to starboard is the guest head, comprising a vanity with stainless steel sink, a Raritan manual toilet and a new shower sump pump should a shower wand be installed.

GUEST STATEROOM:

Forward of the galley and guest head, the guest stateroom comprises a traditional v-berth with filler.  An overhead hatch and two ports ensure plenty of light and ventilation, while a built-in 115-volt King space heater provides comfortable heat while at the dock.

OWNER'S STATEROOM:

Going aft from the main salon, down two steps, is the master stateroom with a centerline queen berth with a deep latex mattress, flanked by extensive built-in cabinetry.  Continuation of the classic parquet hardwood floors and warm teak cabinetry lend a snug feel to this generous aft cabin, while a companionway to starboard aft allows easy egress to the aft cockpit when desired.

OWNER'S HEAD:

Spread across the forward end of the owner's stateroom is the master head which comprises a vanity with stainless steel sink and a Dometic fresh water electric head to starboard and a large, separate shower stall to port, separated by a generous hanging locker. Bi-fold teak doors provide separation and privacy from the aft stateroom when desired.

FLYBRIDGE:

The fully enclosed flybridge is accessed via steps from the aft deck and provides an excellent vantage point from which to pilot the vessel as well as a delightful, fully weatherproof space for guests and crew while underway or at anchor.
