The Symbol 44 MK II Sundeck hull construction is solid fiberglass and has a full teak interior. Below deck, the Symbol's galley-down floorplan is arranged with staterooms fore and aft, a convertible dinette, and a lower helm to starboard in the salon. A breakfast bar overlooks the galley, The boat's two heads come with separate stall showers.

To enter the engine room, one simply lifts the dinette steps and crawls in. Topside, a wet bar is standard on the aft deck, and leather seats flank the centerline helm on the flybridge.

One unique feature is that the exhausts are routed outside the hull in an attempt to reduce noise in the aft stateroom.
