Exterior Description

The hull form is moderate with emphasis on sailing length and stability.The lead ballast is located in the very bottom of the wide fin keel increasing the stability and pointing ability of the Norseman. And a rudder that is set on a large skeg making the helm light and extremely well balanced under sail. 

 

Her raked bow carries two anchor rollers captured by a Nilsson electric windlass feeding chain and rode below deck. Iron cleats forward, mid and aft harness lines leading off deck through stainless fairleads divided by elevated woodcapped toerails. A tall twin spreader aluminum mast is keel stepped through and partnered to the cabin top.

 

The decks are wide with interior chainplates and incorporates bulwarks for security while working on deck. Six hatches and 10 stainless steel opening ports surround the decks and cabin top with great visibility and ventilation. Contoured cockpit seats and large lazarette hatches provide work benches, tool storage, generator space and access to the engine and other components. A molded LGP locker accommodates two 5-gallon containers.

 

The cockpit sole is finished with rubberized non skid. A dodger with SS framing and Bimini. Here the skipper will find access to two B&G navigational read outs and the depth and speed displays. The reverse raked transom and stainless steel pulpit secure the double lifelines and folding boarding ladder.

Interior Description

The interior is finished with an attractive balance of Burmese teak joinery. Varnished teak and holly flooring cover the entire cabin sole. Stepping below the navigation station is to starboard with every control and switch in one place.

 

The aft cabin has a large double berth and a tall cedar lined closet. Moving forward to port is a U-shaped galley with a pantry and a fixed dinette. The port and starboard settee's can accommodated two more quests.

 

Forward to the 2nd cabin, finished handcrafted teak cabinets provide an abundance of storage. A large vee berth, a cedar-lined hanging locker on starboard side and a large owner's desk/vanity with a lavatory sink to port.
