1978 Thompson 44 Trawler

1978 Thompson 44 long range Diesel Trawler ("Borrowed Horse"), powered by Twin Perkins 6.354 Diesel Engines.

A very nice trawler with many upgrades makes this a turnkey vessel that is suitable for living aboard. And for the serious boater alike!

The boat boasts a walk-around deck, mid deck, and upper-station.
New Hull and Topside painted 2022, Old school “Fighting Lady Yellow" pastel Awlgrip paint.
The newer Full Upper Station Enclosure (Sunbrella Canvas) on the bridge is 2 years old with Strata-Glass window zipper openings all round.
New helm chairs were added.
Marine Air Conditioning with remote and ducts to Aft cabin and Galley.
New waterproof flooring was installed throughout the entire vessel. And attractive wall tiling in galley and both bathrooms/heads.
Aft Cabin Queen walkaround bed. Adjoining New Bathroom, tile, shower, electric toilet.

A roomy engine room allows walk around of both engines.
Twin Perkins 6.354 (3000 hours). Engines have been recently serviced and have new oil, water pump starboard engine, and fuel lift pump on the port. These engines are run often.
2 New Propellers (4-blade), 2 New Propeller Shafts and 2 New Struts were replaced by the prior owner within the last 10 years.
Perkins 4108 Generator has a new heat exchanger, new water pump, new pulleys and belts.
Long Range 750 Gallon Fiberglass Fuel tanks have 3 inspection ports added to each baffle. The fuel was polished Summer 2023 and the tanks have been cleaned out internally.

New Xantrex 2K inverter installed by Marine Electrician with 2 display panels.
Electronics include, Auto Pilot, Depth Finder, GPS and VHF Radio.

The engine room is equipped with an air “Gast” 12volt air compressor ($1200).
New freshwater pump for 12-volt holding tank water pressure.
Optional Plumbed in Dock water pressure system installed.

Boat bottom paint is in fair condition and the hull is cleaned monthly. All underwater metal is double zinced.
The current owner is a marine professional and active boater. He has done many upgrades and kept up to date on all maintenance.
