• The interior joinery of the "Sol Mate" was inspired by BENETEAU's liaison with the internationally-noted interior designer, Philippe Starck. The superbly-executed varnished mahogany finish joinery was noted in some articles of the time of the yacht's introduction as some of the best seen in production yachts in recent years. The mahogany work extends to the floorboards and trim pieces as well. The wood is, as it is today with BENETEAU, thoroughly-sealed with varnish and, this process offers excellent protection for the joinery over the years.
• One stateroom with a large Queen-sized berth is accessed aft of the Galley on Portside. The second stateroom is forward of the Salon and features a queen-sized V-berth.

The BENETEAU First 355 is equipped with a 7/8 Fractional Rig for optimal sailing performance. It is an anodized aluminum tapered spar with internal halyards, (2) sets of spreaders. The boom is anodized aluminum with internal reef & outhaul lines.

The total Sail Area is 555.05 Sq/Ft. (@ 100% SA Fore 232.25 Sq/Ft, SA Main 321.79 Sq/Ft).
