An absolutely beautiful classic Sailboat. This 1965 Pearson Triton #503 “Catalyst” has been extensively refitted and set up for liveaboard cruising and offshore passages by James Baldwin (all work done in 2011) of “Atom Voyages” fame who has referred to her as the “Voyager Edition.”The boat has current USCG documentation.

Original gas inboard engine replaced by 6 HP Tohatsu Long-shaft outboard with optional high-thrust prop in a custom designed tilt-up outboard well in the lazarette locker. Engine is raised clear of water for drag-free and snag-free sailing and the original prop aperture filled in. Two portable 3 gal. gas tanks. Motors at 5 knots and gets around 10 MPG.

1965 Pearson Triton #503 “Catalyst” has been extensively refitted and set up for
liveaboard cruising and offshore passages by James Baldwin (all work done in 2011).

The boat has current USCG documentation. Original gas inboard engine replaced by 6 HP Tohatsu
long-shaft outboard with optional high-thrust prop in a custom designed tilt-up outboard well in the
lazarette locker.

Engine is raised clear of water for drag-free and snag-free sailing and the original
prop aperture filled in. Two portable 3 gal. gas tanks. Motors at 5 knots and gets around 10 MPG.


Watertight bulkheads added under each side of cockpit to keep locker contents in place and create separate reserve buoyancy areas.

Acrylic companionway drop boards with stainless steel tracks and security bars.

Original ice box removed to create extended counter under bridge deck in galley and
extendable chart table. Moveable salon table. Slide out table at nav station.
Single-burner, gimballed "Primus" type kerosene pressure stove with spare parts and burner.

Whale foot pump provides fresh water to galley sink. Lavac head w/ 13-gal flexible holding tank in watertight compartment.

New electrical system & wiring w/ LED lighting.


Forward cabin has removable panel to enclose the walk-thru area for additional storage and create full-width sleeping space. 6’ headroom and full bunks in the main cabin with lee cloths.


Exterior painted with two-part Perfection Oyster White. Topsides still in excellent condition and although the gloss has faded on the deck and there are a few cracks and chips,


Interior painted with EZ Cabin Coat Off White. Bilge coated with Interlux Interprotect 2000e epoxy.


Bottom paint redone in 2022.
